Edmonds, 92, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2003, at Cambridge House in Bristol Tennessee. She was born in Bristol Tennessee, a daughter of the late Aaron and Ella Sarah Arnold Blevins, and had lived most of her life here. She was a retired supervisor with Gordon Garment Company and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bryan Burnette; her second husband, Allen B. Edmonds; a sister, Ina Pebly; a brother, Winfred Blevins; and a granddaughter, Terry Burnette. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Fox of Houston; her son, W. Curtis Burnette and his wife Charlotte of Bristol Tennessee; two sisters, Dorothy Collins and Loraine Hopkins of Bristol Tennessee; a brother, Mr. Irvin Blevins of Bristol; five grandchildren, Mrs. Tracy Pierce of Bristol, Major Curt Burnette of Columbia, S.C., Mr. Bryan Fox of Houston, Mrs. Diane Conley of Charlotte and Mrs. Renee Scott of Indiana; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Oakley-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Burnette officiating. The committal service will follow in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:50 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Bill Pierce, Major Curt Burnette, Paul Damron, Bob Slagle, Allen Burnette, Tom Jarrell, Dustin Pierce and E. Wayne Burnette.
