Mrs. Fritts was born in Russell County and moved to Bristol at the age of 16. She was the head salad lady at King College where she was employed for nine years. Mrs. Fritts is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joe M. Fritts; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Joe Widner and husband James A. of Bristol Tennessee; one son, Joseph M. Fritts Jr. of Bristol Tennessee; one sister, Frances Bott of Bristol Tennessee; one brother, Pete Metcaff of Bristol Virginia; three grandchildren, Crystal M. Lawson and husband Jason Earl of Bristol Tennessee, Stacey E. Widner of Bristol Tennessee, Misty Marie Widner of Bristol Tennessee; and one great-granddaughter, Katlen Christina Nicole Lawson of Bristol Tennessee. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 28, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Rowlette officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
