SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Flora Sheffield Hale, 2 Sep 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Flora S. Hale GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Flora Sheffield Hale, 93, 205 Hunt's Bridge Road, died Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Hale was a native of Piney Flats, Tenn., and a daughter of the late Robert Hayes and Addie Vaught Sheffield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Hale Sr.; two sons, Henry Hale Jr. and Robert Hale; two sisters, Beatrice Williams and Beulah Crowell; and two brothers, Howard Sheffield and Clarence Sheffield. Mrs. Hale was a homemaker and a member of Berea First Baptist Church and the Mary Sunday School Class. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara H. and Wayne Edwards, Greenville, and Betty H. and Bob Davis, Clyde, N.C., and seven grandchildren, Wesley Edwards, Bobby Davis, Joey Davis, Sherry Davis Smith, Clark Hale, Clay Hale and Robert Frazier. Fourteen great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside services for Mrs. Hale will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home in Elizabethton.
