Betty Hendershot

Betty Sue Parks Hendershot, 66, of 1021 East State St., Bristol, Tenn., 
passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was 
the daughter of the late James and Violet Travis Parks and had been in the 
Bristol area since 1975, returning from Maryland. She was a former convenient 
store worker and was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Survivors include: husband, JohnW. Hendershot Sr.; sons, John W. Hendershot 
of North Augusta, S.C., and James M. Hendershot of Bristol Tennessee; 
daughter, Kathy Marion of Bristol Tennessee; sister, Jean Goforth of 
Blountville; brothers, Tommy Parks of Bristol Tennessee, Ronnie Parks of 
Bristol Tennessee and Gary Parks of Bristol Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 
six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted onWednesday at 2 p.m. in the Weaver 
Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jacqueline Oxendine officiating. Interment 
will follow at MountainView Cemetery. Pallbearers include: John W. 
Hendrshot Jr., James M. Hendershot,Wayne M. Kistner, Tommy Kistner, John 
Mullins and John Mutter. Honorary pallbearers will be brothers-in-law. The 
family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Hoeme
