Hunigan William Claude "Bill" Hunigan, 81, of 157 Plainview Drive, Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, in the Wellmont Hospice House. Mr. Hunigan was born in Sullivan County to the late Claude Andrew and Cord Lou Gray Hunigan. He was a former banker with 25 years of service and was a retired business owner. He was a member of Fellowship Chapel. He was a graduate of Holston Valley High School Class of 1941 and attended King College. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theater and was a former finance officer in the American Legion. Mr. Hunigan is survived by his wife, Bernice Frazier Hunigan of Bristol Tennessee; one daughter, Beth Hunigan of Bristol Tennessee; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Reva Hunigan of Geneva, Ill.; one sister, Betty Farnsworth and husband Tammy of Abingdon; one brother, Charles "Bud" Hunigan of Bristol Tennessee; one granddaughter, Kristy Epperson of Gray, Tenn.; two great- granddaughters, Taylor Denton and Olivia Denton of Gray; brother-in-law, Earl Rogers, Bristol Tennessee; an aunt, Louise Gray; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lyle Rogers and Mary "Tootsie" Stewart; and a brother-in-law, Herb Stewart. Graveside service with military honors conducted by Patton-Crosswhite V.F.W. Post 6975 will be Sunday 2 p.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation, P.O. Hunigan Hugh Oliver "Hughie" Hunigan, 70, a former resident of Emmett Community in Sullivan County died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late William Clayton Hunigan Sr. and Nettie Louise Booher Hunigan. Survivors include a sister, Georgia Mae Deans, Baltimore; brother, Charles B. Hunigan, Bristol Tennessee; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday in Weaver Funeral Home with Minister Gary Barnett officiating. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Glenwood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers, Jerry White, Randall Roark, Keith Booher, Tommy Roark, Perry Hicks, Charles "Bud" Hunigan and Ted Booher. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Weaver Funeral Home.
