She was a native of Russell County, Va., and had lived in this area for the last 50 years. She was a daughter of the late Dodge Quillen and Betty Ramey. Mrs. Jennings was a homemaker and loved animals, especially cats. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charley Osborne in 1948; her second husband, Oscar Jennings Jr.; and by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, Robert Osborne, Johnson City; one daughter, Aleta Jennings, Johnson City; one sister, Lucy Barnes, Castlewood; one grandson, Elliot Jennings; and two granddaughters, Stephanie Osborne and Angela Cassell. The graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday in the New Bethel Cemetery, Piney Flats. Those attending are invited to meet at the cemetery for this service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday. For those who prefer, the family suggests contributions to the Humane Society, 525 Sells Ave., Johnson City, TN 37604.
