A native of Michigan, he had lived here 25 years. He was employed by Bristol Compressors. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Jobe; and grandparents, Ed and Nina Adams. Survivors include two sons: Josh Jobe of Appalachia, Va., and Jacob Jobe of Shady Valley; father, Arlie Jobe Sr. of Louisa, Ky.; brother, Tony Lee Phillipi of Blumfield, Mich.; and sisters, Nina Fulton and Jane Pippin, both of Abingdon. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Farris Funeral Chapel. Rev. Carl Young, chaplain, will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
