Keys BLOUNTVILLE -- Ada Seneker Keys, 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2003, at the Wellmont Hospice House. She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Henry and Maude Jenkins Seneker and the widow of Perry L. Keys. Mrs. Keys was a graduate of Virginia Interment College and East Tennessee State University. She had been employed by the Sullivan County School System for 34 years and had taught first grade at Kingsley Elementary School for 32 of those years. She was a member of the Sullivan County F.C.E. Mrs. Keys was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she had taught the Adult Sunday School Class for 62 years and was a member of the Ladies Circle No. 1. Survivors include her son and his wife, Max and Beulah Keys, of Blountville; three grandsons and their wives, Jonathan and Andrea Keys, Greg and Deborah Keys and Joe and Carla Keys, all of Blountville; two great-grandchildren, Jon Colby Keys and Jana Leigh Keys, both of Blountville; one step-great-grandchild, Amanda Brewer of Blountville; two sisters, Thelma Carico of Blountville and Louisa Lewis of Morristown, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Fritz officiating. The committal service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Keys, Joe Keys, Jonathan Keys, Jon Colby Keys, Johnny Booher and Monroe Herring. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 191 Central Heights Road, Blountville, TN 37617. The family wishes to express their special appreciation to the staff of Bristol Regional Medical Center and Wellmont Hospice House.
