Lindamood Grace Hendrickson Lindamood passed away on Nov. 28, 2006 at Pine Ridge Care Center. Born on Tuesday, May 4, 1909, to the late George Bayless and Clemmie Blevins Hendrickson, she was one of nine children. She was raised on the banks of the Holston River near the Buffalo community and lived all of her life in Sullivan County. Mrs. Lindamood was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church, the Haynesfield Homemaker's Club, the YMCA, United Methodist Women, and the Go-Go Girls. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her warm sense of humor, her love of fishing, antiquing, traveling with family and friends, her beautiful white hair and her fine sense of style, as well as her love for life. Survivors include her daughter, Imogene McKenna, of Blountville; a daughter in law, Evelyn Lindamood, of Bristol; a sister, Virginia Cross and husband, C.L., of Blountville; a brother, George Hendrickson, of Bluff City; six grandchildren, Larry McKenna and wife, Denise, of Emmitsburg, Md.; David McKenna and wife Kathy, of Blountville; Eileen Cress and husband Jim, of Piney Flats; Andrew McKenna and wife, Monica, of White House Station, N.J.; Kathryn Dietel and husband, David, of Cheyenne, Wy.; and Lisa Lindamood of Knoxville; 11 great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Asa John Lindamood; her son-in-law Lawrence McKenna; and her son, Asa David Lindamood, as well as her sisters, Iva Edwards, Ola St. John, Mae Mottern, Ellen Feathers, Mollie Davis, and her brother, Mack Hendrickson. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, Dec. 1, 2006, in the Heritage Chapel of Memories in Glenwood Cemetery with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Active pallbearers will be Larry McKenna, David McKenna, Andrew McKenna, Alex McKenna, Jim Cress and David Dietel. Honorary pallbearers are special nephews John St. John, George Stone and John Stone. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Healing Hands Health Center, 210 Memorial Drive, Bristol, TN 37620 or to Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church, 3225 Avoca Road, Bristol, TN 37620. The family would like to express special thanks to the entire staff of Pine Ridge Care Center, where Mrs. Lindamood had lived the past few years of her life, for their compassionate and loving care.
