Leonard JOHNSON CITY -- Mary Virginia Hicks Leonard, 71, 216 University Parkway, Grand Arms Condiminium No. 4, was called home to our Lord on Monday, Dec. 30, at her daughter's home in Gray. Mrs. Leonard was a native of Bristol Virginia. She was a founding member of Gray Southern Baptist Church. She is the daughter of the late George W. and Nellie Mae Weaver Hicks. She was the wife of the late Neal C. Leonard, Bristol Tennessee, and was preceded in death by two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy L. and Bill Dickerson, Gray; two granddaughters, Kate and Karie Dickerson; and three sisters, Mrs. Grace Grubb of Greeneville, Tenn., Mrs. John Hickman of Bristol Tennessee, and Callie Martin of Danville, Va. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Gray Funeral Home with the funeral conducted by Reverend Ralph Kidd immediately following at 8 p.m. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations please be made to the Gray United Methodist Church Building Fund. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
