Logan Mary Ruth Logan, 93, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Wellmont Bristol Memorial Hospital and Medical Center. Mrs. Logan was born in Greene County, Tenn., and was a resident of the Kingsport area most of her life. She was a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church and a member of the Top 40 Club. She enjoyed gardening, camping and cooking. She was also very active in the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clare "Clarey" Franklin Everhart and Osa Mae Carter Everhart; husband, D. Haskell Logan; three sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Logan Glasgow and husband, Dr. Robert Glasgow, of Bristol; son Larry Logan and wife, Martha Nord, of Nashville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Everhart and wife, Thelma, of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, 1 to 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home in Kingsport. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Leland Houser and Rev. Dwight Shaffer officiating. Entombment will follow in Oak Hill Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of choice or music department of Blountville Christian Church, P.O. Box 528, Blountville, TN 37617.
