Dorothy Lyon
    BLUFF CITY -- Dorothy "Dot" Lyon, 65, of 228 Minuteman Drive went to be 
with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson 
City. She was the daughter of the late Boyd and Mattie Myers Fugate. She was a 
native of Kingsport and had lived most of her life in the Bluff City area. She 
was a 41-year employee of Sprint, where she worked in the publishing department. 
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bluff City. 
    Survivors include her husband, Gene Lyon of Bluff City; daughter, Leslie 
Burke and husband, Chris, of Bristol Tennessee; sisters Betty Williams, Faye 
Nuckles, Kay Hammond and Ruby Calhoun; brothers Carl Fugate, Tommy Fugate and 
Buddy Fugate; grandson Aaron Burke; and several nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service was held Thursday at 6 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel 
with Rev. Scott Watson officiating. The family received friends Thursday from 
5-6 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations 
be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson
