Malone Mrs. Anna B. Malone, 87, 540 Bunker Hill Road, Bluff City, died Friday, August 4, 2006, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Malone was a native of Sullivan County and the daughter of the late Jimmy and Mary Scalf Lyons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Malone, six sons, Clarence Buddy Sams, Worley Sams, Ted Sams, Terry Sams, Rickey Sams and Curtis Malone, and two sisters, Burlen Morris and Mary Lee Buckles. Mrs. Malone was a retired sewing inspector. She was member of Bunker Hill Christian Church, where she was active in the Ladies Circle of the church. Survivors include her son, Dallas Sams, and her daughter, JoAnn Allen, both of Bluff City; three grandsons, Wayne Sams and Jeff Allen, both of Elizabethton, and David Allen, Bluff City; a granddaughter, Patty Hicks, Bluff City; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruby Carver, Elizabethton, Ella Stout, Bristol, Va., and Susie Winebarger, Bristol, Tenn. Many special nieces, nephews and friends also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Malone will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 6, at Bunker Hill Christian Church with Mr. Ernie Depew, minister, and Mr. Mark Smith, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Clay and Shirley Nelson and Toni Curtis. Graveside services and interment will be immediately following the service in the Jones Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Denny Scalf, Tommy Scalf, Nicolas Wolfe, Evan Wolfe, Jeff Cross and Joe Fleenor. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Wolfe, Ron Scalf, Lawrence Perry and Jason Miller. The family will receive friends at Bunker Hill Christian Church from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, or friends may call at the residence at anytime.
