Mrs. Manning was born in Rhoda, Va., in Wise County to the late Len and Maggie King Davis. She had lived in the Bristol area for 20 years, coming from Michigan and was a housewife. Mrs. Manning was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Manning. Mrs. Manning is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. Wells and wife Evelyn of Kingsport; two sisters, Sarah Liest of Bristol Tennessee; and Annabelle Kilgore of Michigan; one brother, Jim Davis of Michigan; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Leone Wolfgang and Cliff. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Billy Rosenbalm officiating. Entombment will follow in the Glenwood Mausoleum.
