Mazzei Zorka Lazarova Mazzei, 85, of Bristol Tennessee died Satuday, Jan. 4, 2003, at home. She was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and came to the United States in 1934. She was a graduate of Schauffler College in Ohio and lived in New York prior to moving to Bristol in 1957. She taught science at Vance Junior High School in Bristol Tennessee for more than 25 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of State Street United Methodist Church and was the widow of Albert Mazzei. Survivors include two grandchildren,Tara Waller and Michael Waller, both of Atlanta; a son-in-law, Butch O'Hara of Jasper, Ga.; and two great- grandchildren, Jack and Rachel Waller of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie Mazzei O'Hara; and her son, Robert Mazzei. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 o'clock Monday morning at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at Oakley-Cook. Private burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
