Bristol Herald Courier Tuesday, December 3, 2002 Willie O. McCoy BLUFF CITY -- Willie Oscar McCoy, 82, 227 Ash Lane, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Dungannon,Va., and son of the late McCoy and Mary Alice Salyer McCoy. He was a member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church for over 59 years. He was a retired millwright with Daniels Construction Company and was a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Edith Dye McCoy; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Kay and Wayne Phillips, Austin, Texas; sons and daughters- in-law, Eugene and Janie McCoy, Bluff City, and Harold and Kay McCoy, San Diego; sisters, Doris Sexton and Juanita Weeks, both of Kingsport, and Estelle McCoy of Virginia; brother, Everett McCoy, Greeneville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Bryan and Pam Phillips, Keith Phillips, Michael and Bridgett McCoy, Heather McCoy, Yvonne, Dianne and Raymond Christman, Paul and Steve Hughes, Harold McCoy Jr. and Wade McCoy; and great-grandchildren, Rachel Phillips, Abby Phillips and Evie McCoy. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m.Tuesday in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Hudson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bryan Phillips, Keith Phillips, Michael McCoy and Jimmy McCoy. Honorary pallbearers, J.B. Kenton, Buck Richards and Ed Keeling.
