Mitchell Margaret Barrett Mitchell, 81, of Leisure Park Towers, Bristol Virginia, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at home. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol, a daughter of the late David and Cora Reed Eaton, and the widow of Thomas W. Barrett and Lee Mitchell. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and a former employee of Moretz Candy Co., Sevier's Laundry and Holiday Inn. Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Morrell and her husband, Larry, of Bristol Tennessee; a son, Lester Barrett and his wife, Bridget, of Bluff City; four grandchildren, Mike Morrell of Orlando, Fla., Timothy Morrell of Miami, Teresa Morrell of Kingsport and Pamela Dickey of Mountain City; two great- grandsons, Hunter Dickey and David Morrell. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 o'clock Sunday evening in Paul Cook Memorial Chapel of Oakley-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Hazard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:45 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service and burial will be at 11 o'clock Monday morning in Shipley Cemetery.
