SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Howard Morrell, Sr., 13 Oct 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Howard Morrell, Sr., 80, Bristol Highway, Watauga, died October 13, 2004 at Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Bristol, Tenn., he was the son of the late Walter and Ada Nelson Morrell. He was preceded in death by a brother. Survivors include three sons, Robert Howard Morrell, Jr., Johnson City; Donnie Ray White, Bristol, and Edward Aaron Morrell-Archer, Jonesborough; five daughters, Carol Sue Hale, Johnson City; Barbara Kay Widener and Deborah Gail Morrell, both of Elizabethton; Rebecca Ann Chambers, Telford, and Sonja Christine Barker, Limestone; one step daughter, Brandy Michelle Hale, Johnson City; four brothers; six sisters; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; previous wife, Nancy Annette Hale. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The eulogy service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Tetrick Funeral Home - Bluff City Chapel. The graveside service and burial will follow the service at Morning View Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Larry Widener, Michael Perkins, Adam Jones, Tim Barker, James Hale and Bobby White. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Jones and Eddie Morrell-Archer. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service and other times at the home of a son, Howard Morrell, Jr., 206 Big Valley Dr., Johnson City.
