Perryman Mabel Elizabeth Simmons Perryman, 81, formerly of Bristol Virginia passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in Nashville. She was the daughter of the late Edgar M. and Fannie Garner Simmons and had lived in Bristol since 1960 after moving from Nashville. She was a retired legal secretary for George Warren Jr. and was a member of the State Street Church of Christ. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Show Choir and was the widow of Cleatus A. Perryman. Survivors include: son, Donald Allen Perryman and wife Diane of Nashville; daughters, Suzette Fullen and husband Buddy of Bristol Virginia and Donna Gail Nichols and husband Bobby of Alexandria, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jacob Perryman, Michael Perryman, Garth Blackburn, Malcolm Green, Richard Bateman and Paul Merritt. Honorary pallbearers will include elders and deacons of State Street Church of Christ, Jack Harmon, George Warren, David Woody, Bill Merritt, Bill Torbett, Wade Brooks, Marion Watts, Tom Reedy and Bill Brooks. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home and other times at the home of Suzette and Buddy Fullen, 537 Meadow Drive, Bristol, Va. The family would like to say a special thanks to Mrs. Perryman's daughter-in-law, Diane Perryman, for her love and care over the past year.
