Shipley SULLIVAN GARDENS -- Teba Golvesta Shipley, 80, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. Mrs. Shipley was a homemaker and a member of Solomon's Temple Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nina Light. Her husband, Clay V. Shipley; an infant son, Clay Monroe Shipley; three infant sisters and sister Rheba Morrison; and two brothers, Allie and Cleve Light, also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Wanda Shipley of the home and Beatrice Kay Martin, Kingsport; two sons, Carl D. "Joe" Shipley and wife Linda, Blountville, and Charlie Thomas Shipley and wife Cindy, Kingsport; two grandsons, Chris Littleton and wife Crystal and Kenneth Martin Jr.; three step-grandchildren, Holly and Eliza Davenport and Mike Martin; two great-granddaughters, Heather and Ashley Littleton; one step-great-granddaughter, Cassie Martin; one step-great- grandson, Maximus Collins; two sisters, Debbie Dykes, Fall Branch, and Mrs. Charles (Wanda) Whetsel, Indianapolis; one brother, Donald Light, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Fall Branch Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Light Cemetery.
