SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Jeanette Pearl Smith, 23 May 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Jeanette P. Smith Jeanette Pearl Smith, 86, N. Roan St., Elizabethton, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, in the NHC Health Care, Johnson City. A native of Avery County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Emma Dellinger Burleson. Mrs. Smith lived in Bristol for a period of about 5 1/2 years. She was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church but had been attending Beidlman Presbyterian Church in Bristol. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and active in the Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Smith, Jr. and 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Joe Wytcher, Bristol; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sharon Smith, Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Mary Ann Smith and Revonda Smith Fagan; one great- granddaughter, Emily Grace Smith; a brother-in-law, Robert Smith, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law, Louise Burleson, Henson Creek, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004 in Memorial Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Burl Garland and the Rev. Niles Kitzmiller officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2004 in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. The Beidlman Presbyterian Church Choir will provide the music. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, will be Vernie Manuel, Robert Fritz, Sherrill Pitman, Conley Williams, Ted Burleson, and Gary Berry. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the home of her daughter, Booher Dr., Bristol. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Condolences to the Smith family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
