She was born in Bristol Virginia, a daughter of the late Hicks and Mary Hicks Foulk, and had lived most of her life in Bristol and Bluff City. She was a graduate of Bristol Virginia High School and attended Graham Bible College. She was employed by United Inter-Mountain Telephone Company and Paty Lumber Company. She was a longtime member of King Memorial Presbyterian Church prior to joining Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church 20 years ago. She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Emerson L. Sheffey; and two brothers, Fred Foulk and Carl Foulk. Survivors include two sisters, Katherine Sheffey of Kingsport and Dorothy Hills and her husband Don of Richmond; a brother, Donald Foulk and his wife Elaine of Cincinnati; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Foulk of Kingsport and Colleen Foulk of Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the members of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church and Linda's other supportive friends, including her special friend, Juanita Riley. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Chinquapin Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Hills, Tom Hills, John Foulk, Robin Foulk, Steve Foulk and Ron Musick. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:20 Sunday afternoon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church, 1489 Walnut Grove Road, Bluff City, TN 37618.
