Webb Lonnie Gene Webb, 72, 407 West G Street, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Sullivan County, Tenn., he was the son of the late Bruce and Pearl Lilly Webb. Mr. Webb had retired from Alemite Manufacturing, formerly Stewart-Warner Corporation of Johnson City, as a machinist. He was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ, a member of Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge #444 and a 32nd-Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of Knoxville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Webb, and a niece, Angela Webb. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Sue Webb, of the home; two brothers, Arlie Kyle Webb of Elizabethton and Bennie Webb of Piney Flats; a sister, Barbara Powell of Snellville, Ga.; two nieces, Tammy Lockner of Erwin and Gena Richards of Bluff City; and a nephew, David Powell of Cherry Point, N.C. Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Milton Mathers, minister, officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service, or at the residence, 407 West G Street, Elizabethton, at other times. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
