        Nancy Leonard m. John M. Preston 16 November 1862  Sullivan County, TN by
        A. J. Hall justice of peace

        When she applied for Civil War Widow pension she had to supply proof
        because records were burned 22 Sept, 1863 Blountville 1 June 1868  Clerk
        David Pence verified records given him and sent on to Washington.

        However even when she had two children -  they could not varify John's
        death so she was denied pension

        Later 29 March 1868  "Nancy (Leonard) Preston m. John S. Fitch in Sullivan
        Co. TN  by J. K. Nancher, M. G.

        Shortly after 1880 they moved to Leavenworth County, KS  Her Fitch husband
        died and she married 1898 Fred Agee and died 1921 in Leavenworth County,
        Tonganoxie Twp, Kansas
