IN THE COURT CASE for the COUNTY of Sumner _             October Term 1810

             John Deu on the demise                     DOXEY vs. RICHARD FEW



It is ordered in this cause by the Court and by the assigns of both parties 

and their attorneys that John McCann may be made defendant in the place of the 

now defendant Richard Few and shall immedently appear with plaintiff action 

and thence receive a reduction in a plea of Tresspass and ejectment of the one 

most in question and shall immedentely plead thereto NOT GUILTY;And upon this 

the defendant shall confess lease only. And upon the head of the aforesaid 

McCann do not confess lease only. And by reason thereof the plaintiff came 

asking the Court that he  be paid for his loss for their ejection and the 

defendant shall be default, and the said McCann should pay back costs to the 

plaintiff of the Court he accrues with his default in payment of this note:

And futhermore shall he be ejectant not Richard Few now he came admitting 

default.And it is further ordered that if a verdict shall be for the defendant 

or if the plaintiff have as pursute his writ upon any other cause the 

defendant further confessing lease only and order aforsaid then the lessor of 

the plaintiff share costs of the plaintiff himself.And thereupon the said John 

McCann by his Attorney John Haygood must defend the facis and so whenever 

wherever and whoseoever that he is in no way quilty of the Trespass and 

ejectment aforesaid & thence John Deu does complain against him and thereof he 

puts himself upon the County
