All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tn/tnfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Robert McCann mccannra@hotmail.com August 9, 2007, 5:57 am Source: Sumner Co., Tn - Microfilm Archives Written: March 10, 1811 PLOT of DISPUTED LAND Beginning at a Red Oak Stump, supposed to be Charles Carter's original Southeast corner; Thence with his line one humdred and eighty-five poles and six-tenths to a Dogwood in said Carter's line corner to John McCann's claim containing in all along with said line one hundred and ninty-five poles to a stake in said line where Jerimiah Doxey claims to, that being the distance Anderson's grant calls for on this line; Thence south one hundred and forty- nine poles to a stake in Ephraim Peyton's north boundary line, eight poles and seven-tenths east of an Elm marked as a corner in said line. The marks appear to be old, Then north eighty-nine degrees East twelve poles and seven-tenths to an Ash corner to said McCann in said Peyton's line containing same course along said line, in all one hundred and seven poles and three-tenths to an Elm's old corner to John Peyton; Thence north one degreen left along said John Peyton's line, sixty-nine poles to his corner a black walnut.
