KNOW all men by these presents that I Ransom Moss of the County of Sumner State of Tennessee for divers good causes and considerations in and hereunto moving hath constituted and appointed Gessom Moss of the County and State aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for and in my name and stead and for my use and benefit to demand and receive of John Avent Sen. all monies for rents and otherwise, and to sell all that tract or parcel of Land left me by will bearing date (Blank) occasioned by the Death of John Moss my lawful and constituted Father, I do hereby authorise my said attorney for me and in my name to sign and make such Deed as may be lawful to receive and receipt for all moneys etc. which debts shall be considered as lawful as if executed by my own hand & all other things thereunto belonging in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 5th October 1815.- Ransom Moss (LS) State of Tennessee Sumner County This Day Personally appeared before us acting Justices of the Peace for said County Ransom Moss and acknowledged the within Power of Attorney as his act & Deed given under our hands and seal this 7th October 1815. I David Shelby Clerk of the County Court of pleas and quarter sessions for the County of Sumner do hereby certify that Isaac Baker, & Will Trigg Jr.Esquires whose names are subscribed above are acting justices of the peace in and for said County duly commissioned and qualified and as such due faith and credit is and ought to be given to their official acts.
