Perdue have this day given granted conveyed and transfered, unto him the said R. H. Perdue a certain piece & parcel of land lying and being in the State of Tennessee Sumner County District No 17 and on the waters of dry fork of Drakes Creek of Big Barren River and bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning on a Spanish Oak South West Corner of the Nichalason Survey Thence South 68 poles to a Hickory with pointers Thence East 78 poles to a White Oak and White Oak pointers Thence North 68 poles to the Nicholason line at Bryants old Shop thence South to the Dry Branch Thence down said branch with viz meanders to Watwoods line by a water gap - Thence South with said line to the Beginning containing by estimation 110 acres be the same more or less To have and to hold the said Land to him the said R. H. Perdue and his Heirs or Assigns forever - I the said Eli Perdue doth covenant with R. H. P. that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good Right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant with the said R. H. Perdue that for his heirs or assigns will warrant and defend the title to said Land and every part of it against the unlawful claim or claims of all persons whatever - the Testimony whereof I have this day set my hand and seal August 2nd 1859.
