I have bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey unto Luke Perdue, his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land, said is lying in Civil District No. 13 Sumner County, Tennessee and is on the waters of Caney Fork Creek of Drakes Creek and is bounded as follows to wit; Beginning at a stake thence South 10 3/4 West 37 poles to a stone, thence South 67 1/2 E 12 1/4 poles to a red oak, Then S 20 1/2 E 18 poles to stone, thence S 48 1/2 E 14 poles to a Small Cedar, thence S 14 W 52 3/4 poles to a stone with hickory pointers, thence S 78 W 99 poles to a Stake, thence N with the meanderings of the Creek 118 poles thence N 16 poles to a Spanish Oak, thence E 108 poles to the Beginning containing 90 acres more or less to have and to hold said tract of land with all of the priviliges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Luke Perdue his heirs and assigns. I convenant with the said Luke Perdue that I am legally seized and possessed of said land in Fee simple and have a good right to convey the same and the same is unemcumbered. I further bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and defend the title to said tract of land and every particle of it unto the said Luke Perdue, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all person whomsoever. This the 23 day of Nov 1898. J. P.
