H. Whitson State of Tennessee Sumner County For the consideration of three hundred and fifty ($350.00) dollars paid and to be paid as Follows: Three hundred dollars cash the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and fifty dollars to be paid six months after date with interest from date. Said deferred payment being evidenced by one note made and signed by W. H. Whitson & wife A. L. Whitson and payable to G. W. Whitson said being of even date with this and in order to secure and make certain the payment of said note a lien is hereby retained upon the land herein after transferred and conveyed till the whole principal and interest are fully paid. We Eliza Whitson, G. W. Whitson & wife D. A. Whitson have this day bargained & sold & hereby transfer & convey unto W. H. Whitson & wife A. L. Whitson their heirs and assigns forever the following tract of land lying in the State & county aforesaid Civil Dist #14 bounded as follows: on the north by the lands of G. W. Whitson (former Wm Jackson) on the east by the lands of W. H. Whitson, on the south by the lands of J. R. Moye & W. H. Whitson, on the west by the lands of J. C. Perdue, containing 33 acres more or less, to have and to hold to the said W. H. Whitson his heirs assigns forever. We convenant with the said W. H. Whitson that we are lawfully seized of said land that we are lawfully seized of said land, that we have a good & perfect right to sell it that said land is free from encumbrance except said G. W. Whitson reserves the right of way of said land on the east side to the public road. And we will forever warrant and defend title of said land to the said W. H. Whitson & wife against the lawful claims of all persons. Witness our hands this 4th day of December 1908. Eliza Whitson G. W. Whitson D. A. Whitson State of Tennessee Sumner County Personally appeared before me W. O. Butler a notary public in and for said county & state the within named Eliza Whitson, G. W. Whitson & wife D. A. Whitson the bargainors, with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that they executed the within instrument for the purposes therein contained. And D. A. Whitson wife of the said G. W. Whitson having personally appeared before me privately and apart from her husband the said D. A. Whitson acknowledged the execution of said deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly without complusion or constraite from her said husband and for the purposes there in expressed.
