Morgan dmorgan@efn.org ==================================================================== Will of John McGuire Sumner County Tennessee In the name of God Amen: I John McGuire of the county of Sumner, and State of Tennessee being in perfect mind and of sound judgement but calling to mind the mortality of my body and that on being I must be numbered with those in the dust, but my soul I recommend to God who gave it andy body to the grave to be buried in a Christian decent manner at the discretion of my executors and after distributing my worldly property when with it hath pleased God to bless me, I give and bequeath and dispose of the same in the following manner: First: I order and allow and recommend my beloved wife her living and support on this plantation the same to be provided her and her stock and their increase consisting of two horses, five cows and calves with all the kitchen and household furniture, beding and clothes and my clothes to be distributed at the discretion of my wife and one hundred dollars in cash forever to be paid by son Thomas. Second: I give to my son George McGuire the one half of my plantation to be divided by conditional boundaries, marked and that part of my stock which was always named for him, consisting of horses, cows and hogs, and the half of my plantation and farming tools forever. Third: I give to my son Thomas McGuire the other half of my plantation and that part of my stock which was always named for him, and the other half of my plantation and farming tools forever. Fourth: I give to my much beloved daughters Sally Bell, Marian Gillespie, Sidney Brandon, Amy Rutherford and each of their husbands, that part which I heretofore put into their hands forever. Lastly, I constitute, ordain and appoint to this my last will and testament my two sons, George and Thomas McGuire and do revoke, dismiss and disallow all other former wills, and do ratify and confirm this to be my last.
