Tinker Anderson Mrs. Flossie L. Anderson, 81, who for a short while resided with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Turki, 154 Mill Rd., Smithfield, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 17, 1967 at 4:10 p.m. in Martins Ferry Hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1885, in Ernestville, Tenn. Her faith a Baptist. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Thomas Anderson, Dec. 27, 1919, her husband, Thomas P. Anderson, Aug. 17, 1943, her youngest son, Roy W. Anderson, April 20, 1944, a victim of World War II. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Leona Turki, Smithfield, Ohio, Mrs. Esther White, Bellaire, Ohio, Mrs. Nettie Cook, Jewett, Ohio. Three step-daughters, Mrs. Nellie Sandreth, Windsor Heights, W.Va., Mrs. Edna Cross and Mrs. Helen Cook, both of Wellsburg, W.Va. Two brothers, George Tinker, W. Hyattsville, Md., Estel Tinker, W. Asheville, N.C. Three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Erwin and Miss Olive Tinker, both of Erwin, Tenn. and Mrs. Mildred Mitchell of Bothell, Wash. 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Nightingale Funeral Home, Smithfield after 6 p.m. Wednesday night, where funeral services will be held Friday 1 p.m. with Rev. Aart Van Dam of Martins Ferry officiating. *****Flossie's parents weren't mentioned, but they were Robert L. Tinker and Margaret/Mollie Bean Tinker (Margaret is listed on her death cert., and Mollie is listed on her marriage license). She was buried in Warnock, Belmont Co., Ohio. Also, there were two more step-children that weren't listed. They were Bertha Buffington, and Sherman Anderson (maybe they were deceased) punkin@eohio.net
