Roberta H. Belcher

Mrs. Roberta Hughes Belcher, 91, Anderson Health Care, Gray, died 
Thursday, November 21, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Belcher was a native of Windom, Yancey County, N.C., having lived 
most of her life in Unicoi County. She was a daughter of the late Thomas 
G. and Lena Bowman Hughes and was also preceded in death by her husband, 
Maynard Preston Belcher, June 14, 1996, two brothers, James Jerry Hughes 
and John Woodrow Hughes, and a sister, Mary Alice Fullen.
Mrs. Belcher was a homemaker and a member of Unicoi United Methodist 
Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ken M. and Barbara Belcher, 
Unicoi; a brother and sister-in-law, William Perry and Leona Hughes, 
Unicoi; a sister, Leah Connor, Knoxville; and four grandsons and seven 
great-grandchildren, all of Augusta, Ga. Several nieces and nephews also 
survive.
Unicoi Funeral Home, 4428 Unicoi Drive, Unicoi, (423) 743-1381 or (423) 
928-4595, is in charge of arrangements.

BELCHER -- Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Roberta Hughes 
Belcher, 91, Anderson Health Care, Gray, who died Thursday, November 21, 
2002, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 24, in the Bell Cemetery, 
Limestone Cove Community, Unicoi, with the Rev. Estel Williams officiating. 
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral 
home. Friends may also call at the residence of her son, Ken Belcher, 150 
Belcher Road, Unicoi. Unicoi Funeral Home, Unicoi, is in charge of 
arrangements.
