William (Bill) Clifton Britt

William (Bill) Clifton Britt, 92 of 545 Washington Street, Erwin died Monday
June 22, 1998 in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Britt was a Unicoi native and a son of the late Frank H. and Dora E. Price
Britt. He was employed with the Unicoi County Board of Education, having
retired after 17 years of service. Mrs. Britt was a member of First Christian
Church of Erwin.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Britt
and John Britt, two sisters, Alice Johnson and Edith Tittle. Survivors
include: his wife, Edna Bowling Britt, Erwin; two sons, Joe L. Britt, Unicoi,
and Billy Tipton, Roan Mountain; one daughter, Betty Jo Barber, Atlanta; five
grandchildren, Pat Story, Atlanta, Tabatha Britt, and Nicholas Britt, both of
Unicoi, and Jason Smith and Annie Smith, both of Kingsport; and several nieces
and nephews. Mr. Britt is interred in the Jobe Cemetery, Erwin.
