Davis Mr. Carl M. Davis, 90, of 114 Toney Avenue, Erwin died Friday April 10, 1998, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Mr. Davis was a Unicoi County native and a son of the late D.W. and Maude Buchanan Davis. Mr. Davis had been a participant of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He had been employed with the Clinchfield Railroad before retirement in 1969. Mr. Davis was a member of the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Jack Davis, and one sister, Della Davis. Survivors include: his wife, Loretta V. Davis; three sons, Gerald Davis, Johnson City, James D. Davis, Harrogate, and Dalton Davis, Springfield; one daughter, Anna Redenbaugh, Crawfordsville, Indiana; one brother, Leonard "Joe" Davis; five sisters, Mable Kirk, Donora Hughes, Myrtle Gentry, Bess Vest, and Lillie Bell Fox; 11 grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis is interred in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
