Glenn "Babe" Edwards 





    Bernard Glenn "Babe" Edwards, 70, Annas Drive, Granite Falls, N.C., went to 

be with his Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2006, at Gateway Nursing Center. 





    Mr. Edwards was born June 26, 1935 in Unicoi County, Tenn., to the late 

Danial and Bertie Tapp Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in 

death by a sister, Lois Cannon. 





    Mr. Edwards retired from Quality Furniture Company and was a member of 

Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the 

Korean Conflict. 





    Local survivors include three brothers, Leonard Edwards, Ben Edwards and 

Leon Edwards, and a sister, Ms. Jo Ann Pierce, all of Tennessee.
