UNICOI COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Etta Moore Hamm, 22 Jun 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Etta M. Ham Etta Moore Hamm, 88, formerly of Allen Dr., Jonesborough, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, June 22, 2004 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Unicoi County and was a daughter of the late Jake and Mary Tolley Davis. She was a member of Westerly Heights Baptist Church in Johnson City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter A. Moore, Sr.; a son, Walter A. Moore, Jr.; two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Fields H. Hamm, of Life Care Center of Elizabethton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Eva Moore, of Hampton; William and Edith Moore of Unicoi; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Helen Davis of Greeneville; Ray and Eva Davis, of Johnson City, and one sister, Rachel Jackson, of York, Penn.; 10 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Etta Moore Hamm will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004 in the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. Jerry Hall officiating. Music will be under the direction of Edna Waycaster. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of a son, Clyde Moore, 136 Morton Rd., Hampton. Graveside services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2004 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John Henson, Hubert Coleman, Christopher Lovelace, Bobby Hash, Dana Brackins, Lowell Shell and Dwight Hartley. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Westerly Heights Baptist Church, the Carter County Sheriff's Department, and the City of Gold Drama Cast. Special thanks are extended to Margaret Bowers, Lou Campbell, and Tammy Hyder of Life Care Center of Elizabethton and to a very special nephew and niece, Dwight and Alene Hartley.
