Mrs. Harris was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County, and a daughter of the late James and Emma Cody Treadway. She was employed for several years as a painter with Southern Pottery. Mrs. Harris was a member of Higgins Chapel Baptist Church and the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Harris; a son, Benjamin Treadway; three brothers, Tom Treadway, Roy Treadway, and Arthur Treadway; and one sister, Bessie McIntosh. Survivors include, one sister, Mamie L. Phillips of Unicoi; a niece, Shirley Fender, Unicoi; several other nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harris is interred in the Harris Family Cemetery.
