UNICOI COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Troy Herrell, 20 Mar 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Troy Herrell Troy Herrell, 76, Lower Stone Mountain Road, Unicoi, died Thursday, March 20, 2003, in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Herrell was a Red Hill, N.C., native, having lived in Unicoi County most of his life. He was a son of the late William McKinley and Rebecca Miller Herrell. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Herrell. Mr. Herrell retired from General Motors, Cleveland, Ohio, after 30 years of service. He was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Jones Herrell; one son and daughter -in-law, Floyd Ray and Janice K. Herrell, Johnson City; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wilma and Roger Dale Adkins, Rush, Ky., Kitty Marie Collier, Nashua, N.H. and Debbie and James David Reed, Johnson City; one brother, Charles Roy Herrell, Chattanooga; three sisters and two brothers- in-law, Daisie Herrell, Edith and Jack Forbes and Beth and Paul Vago, all of Unicoi; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Unicoi Funeral Home, 4428 Unicoi Drive, Unicoi, 743-1381 or 928-4595, is in charge of the funeral arrangements. HERRELL -- Funeral services for Troy Herrell, 76, Lower Stone Mountain Road, Unicoi, who died Thursday, March 20, 2003, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday from the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dallas Gregg will officiate. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler. Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Garland Cemetery, Erwin. Family, minister and friends may gather at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends from 6-8- p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Herrell is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Janice K. Herrell, two sons-in-law, Roger Dale Adkins and James David Reed and two brothers-in-law, Jack Forbes and Paul Vago.
