Mr. Merritt Hensley

Mr. Merritt Hensley, 90, of 214 White Cove Road, Unicoi, died Saturday January
24, 1998 at Erwin Health Care Center.

Mr. Hensley was a native and lifelong resident of Unicoi County. He was a son
of the late James M. and Dorothy Shelton Hensley. In his early life he worked
at the CCC Camps. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Hensley was a member of
Sweetwater Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers and
by four sisters. Survivors include one sister, Letha Shelton, Flag Pond; and
several neices and nephews including James Hensley, Unicoi, Winifred Shelton,
Flag Pond, Dorothy Tipton, Erwin, and Teresa Shelton, Flag Pond. Mr. Hensely
is interred at the Hensley Family Cemetery, Flag Pond
