This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Erwin Record http://news.mywebpal.com/index.cfm?pnpid=592&om=0 ==================================================================== Mr. Thomas Fred Hensley Mr. Thomas Fred Hensley, 88, 248 Bear Grass Road, Longs, South Carolina died Saturday, January 31, 1998 Mr. Hensley was a Unicoi County native but had lived in Tallahassee, Florida for a number of years and Texas for two years before making his home in South Carolina for 1 1/2 years. He was a son of the late Dr. Thomas Carter and Mary Ann Briggs Hensley. Mr. Hensley was a World War II United States Army veteran. He was employed with the Clinchfield Railroad as an office clerk until retirement. Mr. Hensley was a member of the Mount Leon Baptist Church in Longs. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Holt Hensley, Senior and C.R. Hensley ; five sisters, Anna Hensley Lilly, Effie Briggs, Maude Saults, Mary Lee Hensley and Elsie Hensley. Survivors include: his wife, Willie Frances Arnold Hensley, Longs, one step-son, Bill Wilburn, Kempner, Texas; one sister, Kate Congdon, Erwin; and six nephews and seven nieces. Mr. Hensley is interred at Evergreen Cemetery.
