Mr. Hollifield was a Unicoi County native but had lived in Lamar Community for 22 years. He was the son of the late Max and Mattie Rogers Hollifield. Mr. Hollifield was a United States Air Force Veteran. He had been employed with Mor-Flo Industries for 15 years before retirement in 1988. In addition to his parents, he was precede in death by: one daughter, kathy Hambrick in 1984; one granddaughter, Temmy Relee Casey, in 1984; and one brother. Survivors include: his wife, Ethel Smith Hollifield; two sons, James Casey and Steve Casey, both of Jonesborough; three daughters, Cora Ann Suthphin and Sandra Sue Sutphin, both of Jonesborough and Mary Lou Olguin, Maryville; two brothers, Ray Hollifield, New Jersey, and Glen Hollifield, Erwin; one sister, Betty Lou Metcalf, Erwin; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hollifield in interred in Bethesda Cemetery, Lamar Community.
