Dr. Christopher Ward officiated. Graveside services and interment were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Fishery Cemetery. Mr. Kight was a native of Unicoi County and a son of Ella Ambrose Light, Erwin, and the late Clarence Light. He retired from Clinchfield Railroad as a brakeman. Mr. Light was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by: his wife, marie Sutherland Light in 1984; one son, Charles Light; one sister, Dorothy Jean Light; three brothers, James L. Light, Willard Light, and Jerry Light. Survivors in addition to his mother, include: two daughters, Sherry McNabb, Erwin and Tina Stapleton, Alabama; one sister, Betty Coultier, Erwin; three brothers, Vernon Light, Johnson City, Mike Light and Merle Light, both of Erwin; four grandchildren, Michelle McNabb, Rachel McNabb, Amy Light, and Andrea Stapleton. Valley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
