UNICOI COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Rev. Leonard Shehan, 4 Dec 2004

ERWIN, TN - Rev. Leonard Shehan, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at his 
home. He was the son of the late Samuel Austin and Margaret Helton Shehan, 
and husband of the late Elsie Foster Shehan. He was also preceded in death 
by a brother, Oscar "Shorty" Shehan; one sister, Bessie Foster; a daughter, 
Phillis Edwards; and one grandson. He was a member of Jack's Creek FWB 
Ministers Conference and Association. He attended Unaka Springs FWB Church. 
He pastored many churches in his career, including Covey Rock FWB Church in 
Green Mountain.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia McKinney of Hampton, TN; a son, James 
A. Shehan of Huntsville, TX; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Valley Funeral 
Home. Revs. J.C. Sheets and Charlie Trivette officiated. Burial followed in 
Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the 
funeral home.
