Mr. James Pat Tilson

Mr. James Pat Tilson, 79, 201 Pat Tilson Road, Erwin, died Monday, February
23, 1998 in the Lakebridge Health Care Center, Johnson City.

Mr. Tilson was a lifelong Unicoi County resident and son of the late E.D.
"Dolphus" and Eliza Gentry Tilson. Mr. Tilson was a retired farmer and had
retired from the Unicoi County Highway Department after 10 years of service.
He was of the Baptist faith.

Other than his parents, Mr. Tilson was preceded in death by two brothers; Joe
Tilson and Elmer Tilson; and three sisters, Sophia Offutt, Kate Tipton, and
Mary Tipton. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Richards Tilson; two sons,
James Glenn Tilson, Senior, Erwin and Daivd Wayne Tilson, Knoxville; one
daughter, Betty Lou Tilson Tester, Gray; three sisters, Hazel Tipton, Princie
B. Tipton and Tilda Tipton, all of Erwin; four grandchildren, and several
nieces and nephews. Ledford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, which
were incomplete at press time.
