This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Erwin Record http://news.mywebpal.com/index.cfm?pnpid=592&om=0 ==================================================================== Eva Love "Grannie" Tipton Funeral services for Eva Love "Grannie" Tipton, age 78, of 165 Bumpass Cove Road, Erwin, who died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital, were conducted at 2 p.m., on Friday, June 5, 1998, at Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church. The Reverends Otis Banks, Danny Osborne, and Shelby Greene officiated. Vocal selections were provided by the McNabb Family, Shining Light, and by the Voices of Gospel. Interment followed at Bumpass Cove Cemetery. She was a native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Bob and Maddie Nun Love. Mr.s Tipton had been employed by Harris Tarkett and by Moody Dunbar's Pepper Plant before retiring in 1985. She was a member of Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and was a founding member of the Ladies Aide Circle. In addition to her husband, Albert Tipton, she was preceded in death by: two sisters, Ruth Rogers and Lucy Greenwell; and one brother, Ted Love. Survivors include three sisters: Wanda Wilson, Erwin, Alice Graham, Chuckey, and Irene Casey, Jonesborough; and several nieces and nephews. Valley Funeral Home was in charge.
