Mrs. Elsie Juanita Vance Varshall

Mrs. Elsie Juanita Vance Varshall, 70, died Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at
North Side Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was a Unicoi, Tennessee native and a daughter of the late Sam and Jane
Campbell Vance. Mrs. Varshall was a homemaker.  She was a member of the
Keystone Free Will Baptist church.

Mrs. Varshall was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, John Edward Vance, Johnson City, Tennessee, and
Kenneth Vance, Pelham, Alabama; three daughters, Joyce Vance, Edna Vance and
Brenda Whitson, all of Johnson City, Tennessee; one brother, Howard Vance,
Unicoi, Tennessee; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
