Mr. Willis wa a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late Dave and Myrtle Jones Willis. He was employed with Industrial Garmet before retiring in 1982 after 28 years of service. Mr. Willis was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: four brothers, Wallen Willis, Joe Willis, Kenneth Willis and John Willis; three sisters, Liz Slater, Maude Higgins, and Minta Chandler. Survivors include: his wife, Helen Higgins Willis; one son, Michael Willis, Erwin; four daughters, Janice Barnett, Unicoi, Sue Ann Matousek, Springfield, Virginia, Kathy Elizabeth Shircliff, Salem, Virginia, Karen McClanahan, Lebanon, Virginia; three sons-in-law, Leonard Barnett, Larry Shircliff, and David McClanahan; one daughter-in-law, Lora Willis; five sisters, Ann Minor, Skaneateles, New York, Velva Byrd, Eva Higgins, Georgia Radford, and Shirley Duncan all of Erwin; four grandchildren, Randy Keith Arrowood, Steven Arrowood, Willis Matousek, and Katie Rae McClanahan; three great-grandchildren, Brittany, Keith, and Whitney; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Willis in interred in Evergreen Cemetery.
