Mr. Williams was a Unicoi County native but had lived in Maryland for several years before returning to Unicoi County 25 years ago. He was the son of the late Pittman and Ethel Williams. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Williams was a member of the Lower Higgins Creek Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: three wives, Gertie Mae Tilson Williams, Elva Edwards Williams, and Matilda Jane Cousins Williams; two sons; two daughters; and three sisters. Survivors include: eight sons, Arnold Martin Williams, Junior, Jack Williams, both of Baltimore, Lawrence Williams, Flag Pond, Bill Williams, St. Louis, Missouri, Bob Williams, Tom Williams, Glenn Williams, and Leonard Williams all of Wilmington, North Carolina; three daughters, Gladys McIntosh, Flag Pond, Mary Lou Shelton, Cullam, Alabama, and Betty Chavis, Red Spings, North Carolina; one brother, Millard Williams, Erwin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Williams is interred in Evergreen Cemetery.
