Williams Mrs. Glennie D. Williams, 87, of 360 Crosswhite Lane, Erwin, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Williams wa a Yancey County, North Carolina native but had lived in Unicoi County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Reverend James and Cora Hampton Deaton. Mrs. Williams was a housewife. She was a member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church, and also a member of the Clinchfield Senior Citizen Center. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Fulton Williams in 1964, one daughter, Marie Roberts, in 1955; two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include: one son, C.F. Williams, Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters, Essie Foster and Pearl Parkey, both of Erwin; and seven grandchildren, Doug Williams, Mike Williams, Tommy Williams, Theresa Totel, Ginger Hodge, Larry Roberts, and Gary Roberts. Mrs. Williams is interred in Evergreen Cemetery.
